We kid you not. There’s a holiday called “National Relaxation Day”. (As if we all needed an excuse to relax.) It’s observed annually on August 15th.

It’s a day set aside to slow down, unwind and relax.

Here’s what National Day Calendar says about it:

“National Relaxation Day is an important day as we all need a break from the fast paced and often times hectic lifestyles that we live. There are always schedules that we have to follow and appointments, meetings, errands, chores that keep us busy every day. The often “too busy” days can become stressful.”

Amen to that!

To mark the occasion, we decided to pick out and share one of our most relaxing upcoming trips with you.

If you are in need of a break and hoping to fit ethical travel into your future—consider joining us on this exciting trip to Cuba:

Mind, Body and Spirit in Cuba October 17-23, 2016

On this trip, travelers will embark on a fascinating journey to discover and explore the magic and beauty of Cuba.

We’ll spend time in the historical city of Havana, the countryside province of Matanzas and beautiful beaches of Varadero. Expert guides will lead us on walking tours thru historic squares and into the artistic side of Havana. We’ll enjoy “art in the streets” artisans, murals, sculptures and museums. Pack your dancing shoes for live music and dance classes throughout your stay.

Yoga and meditation will be offered daily by Lisa Rueff. Lisa has been leading international trips for over 15 years. She’s been featured and published in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, Origin Magazine, The Examiner, Marin Magazine, Ode and more.

The trip will also include a visit to the countryside province of Matanzas and beautiful beaches of Varadero. One day will be dedicated to relaxing and rejuvenating in Varadero at a resort.
