Behind the CODE: An ECPAT Advocacy Journey to Colombia
This May, ECPAT-USA (Ending Child Slavery at the Source) will be leading a new groundbreaking journey abroad, this time to Cartagena, Colombia. Like our inaugural journey to Thailand last year, this trip gives travelers an educative perspective about the issue of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, along with sharing the inspiring work being done on the ground to combat it. On this advocacy journey we will meet with advocacy groups like the local ECPAT chapter, Fundacion Renacer, and learn about how they create a world where no child is used for sex. This journey also focuses on how the travel industry fights trafficking, and how you as a traveler can Travel for Good. In addition we will also explore the culture and history of Colombia, along with its beautiful beaches. This is truly an experience not to be missed.
