Here at Altruvistas, we’re all for joining together with like-minded groups to tackle tough issues of our time. That’s why this month, we’re partnering with ECPAT-USA to support the END IT Movement, an international coalition of freedom fighters who are focused on ending modern day slavery.
If you are interested in joining the movement to shine a light on the 27 million people still trapped in modern slavery across the globe, getting involved is easy. A great first step is to watch this video:
Since 2013, the END IT Coalition has come together to raise awareness for the 27 million men, women and children trapped in slavery around the world today. In brothels. In factories. On boats. In homes. Across the globe. And here in America.
The coalition’s plea–“We’ve raised our voices and our voice has been heard. But our job’s not done… Now it’s time to TAKE ACTION. Will you join us? Will you help us END IT?”
Here are 2 Ways You can Get Involved in the END IT movement:
1) Shine a Light on Slavery Day
This February 27th, join other Freedom Fighters from around the world to SHINE A LIGHT ON SLAVERY. Draw a RED X on your hand and post about it on social media using #ENDITMOVEMENT.
As the END IT folks describe, “Tell your world that slavery still exists and you won’t stand for it. This is OUR TIME. This is OUR MOMENT. We believe slavery could end in our lifetime… together we can END IT!”
2) Build a Team:
1. Create your own team of FREEDOM FIGHTERS
2. RECRUIT 27 of your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, acquaintances…to join you.
2. Invite them to GIVE $7, then create a team of their own.
4. Let’s watch the ripple effects of what happens when we TAKE ACTION TOGETHER.
