We want to cordially invite you to join us on an Advocacy Trip to build, develop and change both your life and the lives of the beautiful people of Northern Uganda. Join us as we work alongside and partner with the native “Acholi” people; some of Uganda’s most amazing people. Help us build the THRIVEGulu center into a true place of healing where community members can gather and heal from the devastating effects of over twenty years of civil war. You will also have the opportunity to teach and learn the powerful art of Acholi Storytelling, to ensure that these stories of this great people are never forgotten.THRIVEGulu Advocacy Trips offer you unique opportunities to gain a first hand experience of Ugandan culture and life. We will start our time together in Kampala and learn about Uganda’s history, as well as the status of peace and conflict resolution. We will then travel up to Gulu for a unique, hands-on experience at our center and in the surrounding community. We, at THRIVE are confident you will come away with a deep understanding of the complexities and beauty of Uganda, along with a lasting connection to the people and community. After our rich cultural immersion and service in Gulu, we will visit the largest National Park in Uganda so you can appreciate the incredible biodiversity of this African nation.
