Join Fleuretta Waltrous a.k.a. “Flo” for an unforgettable journey in New Zealand!
We’ll start in Auckland, where we’ll take in breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of ancient volcanoes, sparkling sunlit harbors and beyond. Next, we’ll journey to Rotorua, stopping at the Blue Spring at Te Waihou Walkway along the way, where the water is internationally acclaimed for its purity. We’ll head to a Polynesian geothermal spa! We’ll visit geysers, a conservation center, redwoods, galleries, and the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute. We’ll take the Doppelmayr scenic cableway system, visit the Hobbiton (TM) Movie Set, and have beach time!
Then it’s on to Takahiwai where we will stay with our Māori hosts in their local community for 5 days. We will learn about traditional Māori concepts and principles, have a sound healing, make poi, and visit with Māori healers who practice breathwork, romiromi, mirimiri, and more.
Gloworm caves, kayaking, sauna time, swimming, singing and dancing, and visits with local artisans round out our journey!
