Celebrating Juneteenth 2021: Our Black Space Healing Journey to Cuba
Join the Sacramento Black Worker Center to celebrate Juneteenth as a community in Cuba. In the US, Juneteenth has been celebrated to honor the African Americans who built the nation, and it is the oldest celebration of the end of slavery in the US. We travel in solidarity to explore the African diaspora and the cultural resilience of Afro-Cubanos. Join us to explore Cuban history and the Cuban Revolution through an Afrocentric lens, through educational and cultural activities that will benefit the community as a whole. One of the highlights of this intergenerational trip is our Black Space healing workshop in the beautiful, lush Viñales Valley.
