Peru stirs the imagination with incredible cultural and biodiversity and this PCC journey brings you to the best of world heritage and archeological sites. This trip provides an opportunity to visit the Capital City of Lima, where you will take a plane to see these massive sites from the skies. We travel to enjoy some wonderful coastal and marine biodiversity, and along the way meet with artisans and educators who are making change in their communities. We end our journey in the mountains of Peru, which contain a plethora of ancient Inca temples, Spanish colonial towns, and breathtaking Andean vistas. We will discover the magnificent capital of Cusco, hike to ruins in the Urubamba Valley, meet artisans and archaeologists, and learn about the shamanic arts in the Sacred Valley. We will spend a full day roaming the enchanting ruins of Machu Picchu. Our local guides will facilitate our experience and learning of this remarkable place and people, and the ceremonies and cosmovision that ordered their remarkable society high in the majestic Andes.

Price includes program activities, transportation to and from activities, two meals daily, qualified trip leaders and guides, honoraria, donations, and program fees for each day. One meal a day, extra beverages, individual tips (to hotel staff, driver, and local guide) personal expenses, optional evening activities and international airfare and departure taxes are not included in the cost of this trip. Please book your airfare so that you arrive in Lima, and depart from Cusco. Your one-way internal flight from Lima to Cusco is already covered in the price of this trip.
