Dear Friends,

Portland Community College proudly announces a unique opportunity to our friends and members to join us for Sacred Sites and World Heritage in Peru, September 6-15, 2020.

Peru stirs the imagination with incredible cultural and biodiversity, and this PCC journey brings you to the best of world heritage and archeological sites. This trip provides an opportunity to visit the Capital City of Lima, where you will take a plane to see these massive sites from the skies. We travel to enjoy some wonderful coastal and marine biodiversity, and along the way, meet with artisans and educators who are making change in their communities. We end our journey in the mountains of Peru, which contain a plethora of ancient Inca temples, Spanish colonial towns, and breathtaking Andean vistas. We will discover the magnificent capital of Cusco, hike to ruins in the Urubamba Valley, meet artisans and archaeologists, and learn about the shamanic arts in the Sacred Valley. We will spend a full day roaming the enchanting ruins of Machu Picchu. Our local guides will facilitate our experience and learning about this remarkable place and its people, and the ceremonies and cosmovision that ordered their remarkable society high in the majestic Andes.
