Join us for an exploration of Cuba! Travel to Guanahacabibes National Park, the island's westernmost point to look for green sea turtles and swim crystal blue waters. You'll explore Havana, visit a beautiful rural community, and learn about the country's unique music, history, and more. This trip will be led by Brad Nahill. Profits from this trip will help to save at least 500 hatchlings at a turtle nesting beach per participant.
Visit a sea turtle conservation project at the incredible Guanahacabibes National Park, along Cuba’s western coast. You'll be with Cuban biologists as they study and protect nests of green and loggerhead sea turtles and assist where possible. During the day, explore the park’s forests, reefs, and caves. Profits from this trip will help to save at least 500 hatchlings at this turtle nesting beach per participant.
In this trip to Cuba, you will travel to Artemisa, Finca Marta, the agroecological farm of Fernando Funes. Visit farmer’s market. Travel from Havana to Viñales Valley, Pinar del Rio. You will also visit with permaculture farmer Roger Santiesteban (who has traveled to California twice now to teach permaculture since his January 2016 talk at Eco-Farm).
