From walking tours, to exploring Iran’s past, to meeting local artists, you will be immersed in the country’s colorful culture and the lives of its locals. A percentage of this journey’s proceeds will be donated to OMID Foundation to help strengthen the social, emotional, and economic competencies of disadvantaged and abused young women (aged from 14 to 25) in Iran.
About Your Host
Afshin Shirazian is a first generation Iranian American born in Washington state, raised in Texas, educated in Illinois, and currently calling the Bay Area home. He is a son, brother, artist, marketer, and admirer of world cultures. Afshin has traveled abroad extensively and finds himself returning to Iran with a greater desire to explore his ancestral homeland. He has toured Iran twice, for several weeks at a time; his latest trip was in 2013.
