Cuba | Sparrow Travel: A Cuban Photographic Adventure
Our photography journey in Cuba will include a walking tour of Old Havana, visits with Cuban photographers, and a journey to the Fabrica de Arte Cubano arts space. We’ll then head to the 330-year-old city of Matanzas, where we’ll photograph aerial views and visit galleries and a publishing house. Next, we head to Cienfuegos for exchanges with the AfroAtenas community project and the Tomas Terry Theater. We’ll head to the World Heritage site of Trinidad, where we’ll learn about its sugar, tobacco, and fruit-trading history, visit with more Cuban artists, and take in some live music! Finally, we’ll visit the National Park at the Peninsula of Zapata, an important area of great biodiversity and wetlands, where we’ll visit the Bay of Pigs Museum, and snorkel. Returning to Havana, our experiences will include visits to a boxing studio, a cigar factory, an art school, the ballet school, and a crafts market, as well as the Museum of the Revolution.
