Tiare is passionate about helping travelers engage consciously and respectfully within native lands that have experienced colonization. She believes in travel as a tool for mutual understanding that centers on local voices, supports community-led initiatives, and fosters meaningful cultural exchange. Born in Tahiti and now living in Hawaiʻi, Tiare draws on her background in education, organizational support, and team leadership to help her shape programs that invite travelers to engage in ways that are respectful, reciprocal, and regenerative to the places they visit. She also helps handle the day to day operations that allow AltruVistas to carry out its mission with intention and care.
